The Conservation Center, Institute of Fine Arts, New York University is
pleased to announce their summer program for conservators, artists,
collectors, art history, library, archive and museum professionals.

HOUSEKEEPING AS PREVENTIVE CARE IN HISTORIC HOUSE MUSEUMS

August 6-8, 9:30-5
Cost:  $350

This course combines lectures, videos, and hands-on training to
familiarize participants with collections care techniques, tools, and
equipment.  Lectures will introduce participants to preventive care
measures such as site management, pest control, lighting and display
conditions, and storage.  Lab sessions will demonstrate cleaning
procedures.

CONSERVATION MATTING, FRAMING AND STORAGE

This workshop combines lectures and demonstrations with hands-on
experience in conservation housing for exhibition, storage, and
art-in-transit.  Each participant will receive sample materials and
produce reference models for future use.


ENROLLMENT IS LIMITED -- EARLY APPLICATION IS RECOMMENDED TO INSURE A
PLACE.  A DEPOSIT OF $100 IS REQUIRED TO RESERVE A PLACE, PAYMENT OF
