We have been considering ideas to involve out volunteers more and give
them a greater sense of ownership. Do any of you have a volunteer
organization (Council, Commitee, etc.) for your volunteers?
What are it's responsibilities and powers?
How is it structured? (Who do they report to, what type of approvals
do they need for projects?)
What have been the benefits?
What have been the problems?
I've worked with one other institution with this type of organization
and saw great benefits (volunteer organized exhibit) and difficulties
(who got to use the institution name for fundraising and who
controlled the funds raised). I'd like to get the best possible
result with the least problems.

Thank you
