Jill-
I used B72 for some glass objects I was cataloguing when I interned at
Shelburne Museum. They used paper labels printed off an inkjet printer and
sprayed with clear acrylic spray paint. The labels were basically just the
list of numbers typed out on the word processor and printed out on normal
paper. I then just cut the numbers out with very little extra space around
them to keep their size small and somewhat inconspicuous. There was very
little smudging and the paper label was fairly easy to remove when
necessary. Hope this helps.
