I am probably one of the younger members (early 30's, I hope I'm young!) and
I say keep it whole. Let's stress our commonalities, not our differences.

A newsgroup I used to follow, rec.photo, recently split into about 12 parts
covering various aspects (i.e. large format, medium format, nature,
portrait, etc.) and I stopped reading it--I am interested in everything and
I liked getting it all in one place.

Don't split, please!
