My post is in reference to the comments made by Richard Fields who wrote:

"Have you ever seen the effects of touching at the Pro
Football Hall of Fame? Some of the busts look like Rudolph from
visitors rubbing their noses."

Apparently Mr. Fields does not live by the saying, "If you don't have
anything nice to say don't say anything at all."

Here at the Pro Football Hall of Fame we do not put barriers between our
busts and our Hall of Fame visitors. We want our visitors to be able to get
close to the bust of their favorite Hall of Fame member. Some of our busts
have become tarnished by visitors touching them, however we have a
consistent program to have our busts refinished and restored.

We find that most of our visitors enjoy our bust exhibit area and we spend a
considerable amount of time and effort in making the exhibit as
aesthetically pleasing as possible to our visitors.

I would like to let Mr. Fields know that the Pro Football Hall of Fame is a
non-profit organization and has the same budget concerns as any other
museum. If Mr. Fields would like to discuss our exhibit any further he may
call me at any time.

Thank You
