The Texas Historical Commission (THC) is seeking expressions of interest and statements of qualifications from qualified individuals or firms to develop workshop content focusing on museums and community engagement. Selected contractor will lead the workshop in 10 Texas locations and record 3 related webcasts. Workshop content will explore the concept of organizational transformation and how social capital and emotional value can often make the difference between a struggling and thriving museum. This workshop is part of the Training for Texas Museums project, funded in part by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

To learn more about this opportunity, visit http://esbd.cpa.state.tx.us/bid_show.cfm?bidid=90844 or go to the Electronic State Business Daily at http://esbd.cpa.state.tx.us/ and search under Texas Historical Commission. Deadline for submissions is October 4, 2010.
