Thanks to everyone who responded to my request for information about old
loans.  All of your responses were quite useful.  We've decided to start
at the begining- by attempting to establish clear title to the objects
in our 1899 catalog before making decisions about deaccessioning.  I
found Malero's Legal Primer for Collections Management helpful.  Thanks
again.
