Here at the Southern Oregon Historical Society, we would like to paint a
large outdoor mural on the north side of our building. We intend to
project a photo of a historic street scene (in sections, of course) onto
the wall. Is there somebody out there who has had experience (or knows of
someone who has) painting a mural of this scale? Our mural will be about
33' wide by 18' tall. We have some specific concerns: we want the mural
to be more or less "permanent" so we want to find a suitable kind/grade of
paint. Is there any other treatment which will help it last longer
outside? We just don't want to invest the time and effort in such a large
project only to have it be peeling and cracking a few years later. Of
course, cost is a major concern, as well. Anyway, any advice, pearls of
wisdom, contacts and the like would be appreciated.
