"I don't mean to be sarcastic, but museums are for visitors, right?  We exist to serve the public."

True, but if that means I have to work more than the 50 hours a week I'm already putting in, I'm gonna burn out and there won't be anyone here to keep the doors open.  That doesn't serve the public well, either.  In my opinion.
