The Children's Museum hopes to greatly expand the imaging/text database of
our collection for use on our internet and our planned gallery intranet.
Can anyone tell me about the very best, coolest internet/intranet programs
out there that are on the web, used in museums or developed by museums but
used in classrooms/school libraries?
We're looking for the *killer app!* We're specifically interested in
programs that allow cyber tourists to walk through storage, pick up
objects, place them on exhibit or find out about them, or write stories
about them . . . other razzle dazzle stuff. We're also looking for
situations where museums have written programs that are used by teachers
that fit in with school systems' curriculum.
Anyone out there know of some great sites? Please contact me on- or
off-list:
