The latest awards from Round 5 of the Sharing Museum Skills Millennium
Awards (totaling over £31,000 from this round) have been posted on the
'Awards' page of the scheme's website www.smsma.org.uk.  There is still
plenty of funding available from the million pound budget to support
secondments for those working or volunteering in UK museums.  The next
deadline for applications is May 10, 2000.  

In addition the list of over 60 organisations willing to host
secondments has been updated and is available on the site.
Alternatively a hard copy can be sent on request.

The details of forthcoming application workshops in the East Midlands,
North West and Yorkshire & Humberside regions are also available on the
site.  If you would like to attend any of these events which are free of
charge please let me know.  Further workshops for other areas of the UK
will be organised over the next few months.
