In light of this discussion on fire suppression within cultural
institutions, I would like to take this opportunity to inform you of
some recent developments in the field of cultural institution and
cultural property protection.  Since a publication by Peter Osborne was

NEWS RELEASE------------------------------------- My colleague in The International Committee On Museum Security of The International Council of Museums, Peter Osborne. has now retired after serving as The Security Advisor of The Museums and Galleries Commission in London and has now founded The Bureau of Cultural Protection headquartered in the U.K. The Bureau of Cultural Protection has agreed to work with Museum Services International in providing a complete range of cultural property protection services to the International Community----------         Architectural Liaison, Study and Design-Fire and Intruder         Detection-Insurance and Indemnity Requirements-Physical Defences-         CCTV Surveillance-Security Reports and Recommendations-Security Staffing         Levels and Training-University Collections-University Lectures-Commercial Cultural         Assets-Transportation-Religious Establishments-Theatres-Foreign Loans, Exhibitions, Traveling Exhibitions and Couriers.
