The National Park Service as a couple of different lexicon's listed in its
new museum software called ANCS+, which is a Rediscovery/Foxpro program. We
also use Robert Chehall nomenclature for a museum object classification
system and object names (dlesn't work well for archives) and What's What to
standardize names of pieces/parts of objects. At this park, we have
developed standardized names and subjects to use.
