Hi Rebecca,

We use both Past Perfect and Re:Discovery's Proficio. We decided to keep our History and Archive collection in Past Perfect and put our Science and Library collection in Proficio.

Each database has its pros and cons and that is why we ended up with the collections split into two different systems. I'd be happy to talk through them with you directly via phone or email.

Thanks,

Lacie

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Switch from PastPerfect to Re:discovery

Hello All,

The museum I work at is considering making a move from PastPerfect to Re:discovery for a collections management software. We were wondering if anyone has had any experience with the Re:discovery's program Proficio? Or anyone who has made the switch from PastPerfect to Re:discovery? Is it an easy program to learn?

We maintain a small historical collection and would like to provide public access to our collection information while still using it as a collections management program.

Thanks in advance!
