We are using Ashlar-Vellum 3-D from Ashlar <http://www.ashlar.com>.  I know
that is a little pricier than MiniCAD, but when we did our original
evaluations it was much more capable.  I would suggest that you talk to
both companies and have them send you an evaluation package so that you can
test the software.
