Deb,

As a "small museum" person I hope you won't be too hard on these guys. One
thought is to use vinyl banners. Many places -- including Kinkos -- can
print them off of computer discs. We get our 36x48 temporary exhibit
banners (that are displayed on the outside of the museum for 6 month periods
in all kinds of Chicago weather) printed by a company in Wisconsin for a
little under $250. Even if you only have enough to pay for one banner
maybe whoever prints them for you would be willing to make a donation --
after all living history displays attract ALOT of people who might not visit
the museum.

Subject: Cost for outdoor signage

Hi all,

I need to sober up one of my living history groups who are trying to
do an outdoor/traveling exhibit on a $350 grant.

While this isn't designed yet, I'm estimating we'll have about 4 22x28
pannels with text and full-color illustrations. They need to be
weather-proof for long-term outdoor display but portable to take to
events.

Can anyone give me a cost-estimate or the costs of a similar project
that you've done?

Thanks!

Deb
