I know that this is probably not the appropriate group for the following
question, but I am not on CoOL and, anyway, you guys know everything.
I would like opinions from anyone who has used a deacidifier (such as
Bookkeeper or Wei T'o, sold by Light Impressions) on 20-to-30-year-old
newspaper clippings. Does the stuff work? How easy is it to use for the
novice? Is there any literature (accelerated aging, etc) available? Also,
Light Impressions recommends glue sticks for sticking them down to
archival paper. Is the a good (the best) approach. I've tried corners,
but some clippings are very large and flimsy. All help much appreciated.
