There was a discussion some time ago on cni-copyright regarding the
copyrightability of recipes.  I don't know if the issue was ever settled,
but, if I remember correctly, it was noted that because recipies are
procedures, they cannot by copyrighted, only their expression.  So if you
rewrite them you can publish them.  On the other hand someone wrote, they
are protectable as trade secrets (or something like that).  According to
one clever fellow, you may be able to publish them, you may not be able to
make them!
