My son, now ten, has loved archaeology most of his life.  Two of his favorite "digs" are the ARTiFACT Center at the Spertus Museum in Chicago <http://www.spertus.edu/AFC.html>
and the dinosaur dig at Disney's Animal Kingdom <http://asp.disney.go.com/disneyworld/db/seetheworld/themeparks/facilities/attraction.asp?id=200&landid=99>
