Dear List Members:

I am a graduate student at the University of Iowa, and I am trying to
find information on the curation of plant remains from archaeological sites.
I have found references to other types of archaeological collections in
museums, and to techniques used to preserve modern plant specimens in
herbarium collections, but not much about archaeological plant remains. Most
of these are charred or dessicated materials, usually extremely fragile, and
sometimes microscopic as well (tiny seeds, etc.)
Does anyone know where I might find more information?
Thanks,
        Dain Martinek
