Dear Margo:  You must find a conservator for these antique pieces.  Try the
Textile Museum in DC for their opinion and for a referral to someone who has
worked with Asian silk and embroidery.  In New York, try Judith Eisenberg,
Professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology who has her own practice
