I'm posting this for my director. Please reply directly to him if you've
got some good advice. Thanks.

Dear List Members,
The Old State House in Little Rock, Arkansas is the oldest standing
state capital building west of the Mississippi River. It houses a museum
of Arkansas history and features exhibits and programs interpreting the
state's political and social history. The building is listed on the
National Register of Historic Places and received National Historic
Landmark status in 1997.

We are a state agency in search of funding sources beyond state
appropriations. Current levels of state support will certainly be
reduced in the near future. We are considering the potential of gallery
naming opportunities as a benefit of significant corporate/individual
support. Our board of directors is concerned that this is not
appropriate for an historic structure. Have any of you dealt with this
issue before? If so, what advice can you give me? Thanks in advance for
any help you can offer.
