You may want to check the Arts and Leisure section of the New York Times
for Sunday, February 11, 1996.  There is an article entitled "Historical
Shows on Trial: Who Judges?," in which several controversial exhibits are
discussed such as the Back of the Big House exhibit and The West as America
exhibit. If you have any trouble locating the article, respond to me
off-list and I'll be glad to send you a copy.
