A New Equestrian Exhibition in Riyadh

Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, will witness the inauguration of a new
encyclopedia on Equesterian sport on Monday 15th January 2001. The
inauguration will be attended by over 40 museum curators from all over the
world. The new volume is named "Furusiyya" which is published in both Arabic
and English, and it took over six years to accomplish. The research efforts
undertaken to accomplish this work has been very enormous and many of the
contributors, editors, photographers etc. are experts in their own fields.
Accompanying this event, there will be an exhibition showing some of the
best archaeological and traditional objects related equestrian sport and the
Arabian horse.
This event is organised by King AbdulAziz Public Library in Riyadh, which
has been very active in organising various exhibitions and symposia relating
to the Saudi Arabian culture.
