I am aware of a number of University -based masters degree programs in museum
education in the U.S. including Bank Street College of Education in
N.Y.C., George Washingtion in D.C., and a relatively new one with which I
am involved at the University of the Arts in Phila. I think there are
probably others in the mid-west and on the west coast as well.  As far as
I know, there is as yet, no Ph.D. program in Museum Education and we could
use one.
