I don't know about limiting keyboard inputs but I do know that "ruggerized"
keyboards are commercially available. Panasonic offers them, plus there are
a number of smaller industrial type suppliers that provide keyboards with a
liquid proof surface. It may be cost effective to purchase of those. Last, I
would also check keyboards that are made expressly for children. There you
also have the advantage of a more comfortable keyboard size.

Subject: Keyboards in exhibits

There are times when you just have to offer keyboard inputs. I am
interested in both removing all control keys (on PC the Alt, Cntl, Caps
Lock, windows key, function Keys, and on Mac the option and command key) and
essentially offering the absolute minimum, letters, numbers, shift and tab.
Has anyone found a source of "custom" keybaords such as this? They would
need to be ruggedized to prevent liquid or little objects from getting in.
I know about NSI in Belgium from the archives but they don't have anything
with a limited set of keys.
