I am working with the AAM Diversity Coalition members on finalizing some
session proposals for our annual meeting "Museums 2000: Reflection, Vision &
Change" scheduled May 14-18, 2000 in Baltimore MD. They are interested in
locating panelists for the following sessions:

Museums of Tolerance: Using Collections for Diversity Training
This is a session which hopes to confront recent and recurrent hate crimes
through exhibition development. Any small museums doing this type of
programming would be welcome!

Handle with Care: Sacred Objects and Registrarial Methods
What are the most logical patterns of registration that relates sacred
objects from all types of faith while maintaining the individual integrity
of each? How do these considerations apply to the collections in an Islamic
museum? To those of Native American museums? African art? Asian? how do
all of these differ from the registrarial issues of a Euro-American art
museum? A natural history museum?

Please respond to me and I will forward your thoughts/suggestions. You help
is appreciated and welcome.

Thank you,
John T. Suau
