I too was hit with the Love@aol spam a few months ago.

Evidently some very clever people with way too much free time make up a mock
AOL web site and send out spam to many AOL users. The fake web site asks for
your user name and password for entry. Once you enter those the site doesn't do
anything.

Someone has just stolen your password!

Then they use your e-mail address for all sorts of things - from more AOLspam
to XXX sites.

I called AOL about this and had to change my password. That solved the
problem.

I wonder if there is anyone out there archiving the history of all this?
