PUBLIC PROGRAMS COORDINATOR: The Colorado Springs Museum seeks an energetic,
creative, and experienced museum professional to handle a broad range of
responsibilities, including public programs, educational activities,
publications, and volunteer coordination.  The public programs coordinator
also assists the director with public relations as well as fund and
membership development.  The successful applicant will be a team player
possessing exceptional verbal and written communication skills.  Candidates
must be self-starters with demonstrated abilities in solving complex
problems and in organizing and managing multiple projects concurrently.
Qualifications: equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in history, education or
other relevant field plus three years of increasingly responsible
administration of museum programs.  A Master's degree is preferred.  Also
desirable is an extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of software,
graphics design tools, and digital photo applications.  The salary range is
$3,468 - $4,335/month.  Closing date is April 30, 2002.  The CSM is a
municipal museum with collections, exhibits and programs emphasizing the
history and culture of the Pikes Peak Region.  A City Application is
