            the effects of an emergency
Procedures to follow during, immediately after, and in recovery
            from an emergency
Stabilization techniques for damaged collection materials and
            buildings
Detailed appendices including resource lists, incident forms,
            and collection priorities

This spiral bound handbook, 250 pages in length, was written by the

 Hi Listers!

Our historical center moved to a building located directly on Charlotte
Harbor (Florida Gulf), necessitating an update in our emergency
preparedness plan. I'm researching general information (sample plans,
etc.) specific to museums with artifact collections. Most of the
information I'm finding, esp. on the AAM website, is specific to libraries
and art museums. Can anyone offer suggestions for good sources on the web
(or offer their own disaster plan as an example?). My primary concern is
 thunderstorm and hurricane damage.

 With thanks,

 Lori Tomlinson, Division Manager
