Andrew:

Great question! I would be very interested to know if you find a program
that does indeed necessitate proper address format.

Subject: Email application that enforces address format

Zeum has a sound lab exhibit where visitors create tracks with a simple
mixing program. The program has an "email" button which creates a new email
with the song attached, using whatever the default mail application. For
now I am using Outlook Express.

The problem is Outlook Express does not enforce proper "[log in to unmask]"
formats. A visitor could type "name!place.com", "name@@place...com", or
whatever. Outlook Express still tries to deliver the mail, but always
produces an error. Once a bad email gets in the queue, every time a visitor
clicks send they see the error, whether or not it applies to their email.
The only way to clear it is manually.

Does anyone out there know an email application which enforces proper email
address format?
