I know that many, if not all, Art galleries have a contract that outlines
the responsibilities of an artist and those of the gallery that is
completed before an artist or artist group do an exhibit. Here at our
general museum we have many local artists and artist groups that do
temporary exhibits in three of our galleries. Time of exhibits range from
1 to 6 months.

We always fill out loan forms so that their artwork is covered by our
insurance. We are hoping to formulate a temproary exhibit contract much
like the one used at public art galleries. Do any of you art museums out
there do this? If so, would you mind sharing a copy so that we may see how
everyone else handles this matter. We just want to make sure that all t's
are crossed and i's dotted. We believe that this contarct will help these
exhibits to run more smoothly.

Thanks up front for all comments!
