As an assignment, my students create virtual museums using Wordpress.com. In addition to a diversity of available themes and the potential for multi-layered menus, the most important feature of this CMS platform is the ability to designate a home page other than the page showing blog posts. For the longer term, Wordpress is great because of its system of painless upgrades for each new version of the software.
