An excellent idea! I for one would just as soon peruse a version updated
every two weeks with more current legislative info and placement ads.
Password protection would be a good solution to insure revenue. Any loss
would probably about equal the number of copies I have seen photocopied and
passed around. There would also be some savings due to the transfer from
hardcopy printing to electronic templates. Most of the revenue is probably
generated from ad placements anyway and this would be unaffected. I
contributed about $1,600 in ads last year . . .

The question is, how many museum are w/o internet access and can we develop
a solution?

1) Could AOL or Compuserve or AT&T be persuaded to give AAM members
siugnificant access discounts the same way AAm has been pushing long
distance phone service, insurance and credit card deals?

2) Outdated computers and slower modems could be donated to instituions
needing basic hardware (I have a 486/25 sitting unused in my closet now).
You don't need a Pentium II to access Netscape.
