In Britain we have a publication called "Call to Arms" which lists
living history and re-creation groups working in this country.  As it is
aimed at being a contact for various groups, it tends to include mostly
battle recreation groups (who can get together to put on larger shows),
but also lists groups with more civilian interests and suppliers for the
recreation hobby (makers of reproduction artifacts, costumes etc.)
Periods covered range from prehistoric to present.  It can be found at
