Dear List -- in another forum, a writer asked about that crucial planning element, the
Basic Feasibility Study.

This topic is one we've addressed quite often across the country with a very useful
explanatory document, "Planning the Museums of the Future -- Your First Step: Feasibility
Assessment." It turns out there is wide and continuing interest in the topic so I'm
dropping a note offering the document here as well.

We provide this highly readable and informative, 10 page article at every opportunity to
any organizers, funders, and interested parties in the early stages of an institution, or a
change. It will aid in organization, direction, data collection, and strategies by clarifying
goals and approaches.

Just email: mail <[log in to unmask]> and request "Planning the Museums of the
Future -- Your First Step: Feasibility Assessment."

I'll send the pdf, so you can read it on screen, print it as a handout, or email it to your
board members, supporters, and whomever would benefit.

As well, Kathleen Brown's article on Strategic Planning is available to the museum
community through our regional professional organization web site. See the Western
Museums Association web site link "Westmuse Quarterly Resources."

Have a great AAM!!
