Position Announcement:  Museum Curator, George C.  Marshall Museum,
Lexington, VA

The George C. Marshall Foundation is seeking an innovative person to
serve as Museum Curator.  The Curator will provide leadership for
all aspects of the museum's mission and will report to the President
of the Foundation.  Responsibilities include: collection management
and development; exhibitions; educational outreach; museum shop
operations; budget and administration; and representing the museum in
the local community and in professional organizations.

Qualifications: Degree in museum studies or related field.
Experience in museum operations.  Familiarity with 20th century
military and diplomatic history helpful.

Salary:  $23,500-$24,500.  A comprehensive employer-sponsored benefit
package is provided.

Starting date: February 1, 1996.
