Well, I'm not going to say anything intemperate here (BTW, I didn't think the
responses were that bad), but I am going to express some doubt and amazement.
 I've seen a lot of professorial salary surveys, and I've never seen anything
higher than several hundred thousand dollars.  That doesn't mean, of course,
that this figure isn't accurate, but it does give rise to the question: where
did you get it?  You've substantiated your other figures, but I saw no
indication of where this one came from.  Just curious.

And even if it's true, such high compensation for a highly specialized field
hardly seems appropriate to lump in with "teacher" salaries.
