Hi Tom,

In response to your recent posting, a favorite pastime was lantern slide
(magic lantern) shows. While I could talk about them, I do not give shows but
could recommend others who do. Also pageants were popular and very likely one
or more were given in your community. Related to this, there was storytelling
[described at the time as a rebirth] and many local groups organized.

I will be out-of-town (and not checking e-mail) from Thursday, Nov 13 until
Sunday, Nov 23rd and am interested in your request for resource people.
