The Louisiana Association of Museums (LAM) will present Building a Powerful
Board for Fundraising, a day-long Professional Development Workshop, on
Monday, April 28, 2003, at the West Baton Rouge Museum.

Workshop presenter, Emily DiStefano, said, "In today’s environment the
difference between those who succeed in fundraising and those who do not is
often determined by the strength of their organization’s board of
directors.  This workshop will provide an approach to board development
that results in fundraising success.  Trustees, Executive Directors,
Development Directors and Nominating Committee members will all benefit
from this workshop.  You are encouraged to bring some of your board members
with you as a team."

The registration fee for LAM members is only $35, and only $20 for each
additional person from the same institution.  The fee is $45 for all non-
members.  And lunch is included!  Non-profit organizations shouldn’t miss
