HELLO - I have an unusuall 16,000 s.f. store in the Palm Springs, California
area that carries, well, unusual merchandise -- I am involved with the museum
list as a result of the antiquities that are brought to me, however, I just
thought I'd mention to you I also have "railroad" buyers and sellers of sorts
-- one of my buyers wants stock certificates from any of the railroads
represented on the monopoly game, and, one of my sellers has a lovely
cherrywood piece of furniture that is described as between a very slim and
simple desk and a credenza sofa table. She claims came out of the office
of the CEO of Southern Pacific Railroad.

I am also looking for the American painter by the last name of Young who
travelled by train around the turn of the century, painting the landscapes as
he was passing through. . . If I may every be a resource, (other than
scholarly) please feel free to let me know!!
