Hi Mike,

two books that I have found to be very helpful are "Basic Condition Reporting: A Handbook" edited by Marie Demeroukas. We are using the Third Edition, Revised and Expanded. The other is "Introduction to Object ID: Guidelines for Making Records that Describe Art, Antiques, and Antiquities" by Robin Thornes with Peter Dorrell and Henry Lie. They both cover much more than photographing, but it is all useful information.

Hope this helps!

Regards,
Sylvia
