Some important deadlines for people who will be attending this year's
     Museum Computer Network Conference ("Reaching Museum Audiences Using
     New Technology", in Ottawa, Canada, October 30 - November 2, 1996):

     REFUNDS
     Requests for refunds must be made in writing. The deadline to request
     refunds on conference and workshop fees is Monday, October 21st.  To
     request a refund, inform Michele Devine at the MCN Membership Office

     Note that no refunds will be given out on-site at the conference.  If
     you have requested a refund, you will be mailed it 2-4 weeks after the
     conference.

     HOTEL
     The deadline for booking a room from the block of hotel rooms being
     held for MCN at the conference hotel is this Sunday, October 5th.  You
     must book by this date in order for MCN to get credit for your room.
     You can take advantage of our conference rate (which begins at $132
     Canadian or around $100 US).  Also, if you wait until after the
     deadline, you risk not having a room since this is conference season
     and MCN's block, if there are rooms remaining, will revert to the
