Re Jason Kaufman's proposal for Duane Hanson--
        Yes, he would be a good candidate too.  He also dresses his statues
and paints them, while Johnson works in bronze.  Maybe Johnson isn't as well
known as I thought, but his stuff is all over New Jersey; not surprising as
he is from the Johnson & Johnson family.  He seems to be one of the few very
rich to become a professional artist.
        There's also a store in the now much-despised SOHO that displays such
works by an artist whose name I've forgotten.  I was looking rather intently
at one of them when someone came up to me and then jumped when I moved; he
thought I was a statue, too.  This sounds to me like the artist to be hired.
