The University of Colorado Museum, in Boulder Colorado, a natural history
museum with collection strengths in Anthropology,  Botany, Paleobiology and
Zoology, invites applications for a tenure-track 9-month Assistant or
Associate Professor appointment (with summer administrative stipend) to
direct the Museum & Field Studies Graduate Program. We are interested in
candidates with demonstrated experience in museums and a strong research
background.

Experience working with graduate students in museum or museum/field studies
graduate programs desirable. The approximate distribution of duties will be
teaching 20%, research 30%, service 20% and administration 30%. The
appointment may be made in cooperation with the appropriate allied
department. Responsibilities are to continue to develop a relatively new
masters program, to maintain an active research program, and to teach
courses in the M&FS program. Other responsibilites include recruiting and
advising students, supervising a 1/2 time staff person, assisting with
curriculum development, marketing, developing on- and off-campus
partnerships to foster student internships, and assisting in career
development.

Ph.D. or equivalent degree and a record of published research required.
