Ralph,

Thanks for the info. I am going to apply for membership with SEMC within
the next couple of weeks. The convention sounds like a great networking
opportunity and I should be able to attend!

Thanks again,
Carrie Dowdy

Carrie--Hopefully you will find a position quickly. However, since you are
in Kentucky, you should know that the SOutheastern Museums Conference is
having its annual meeting in Louisville, October 17-20. There will be a
placement booth and there are lots of friendly folks to meet
and network with. Check out the SEMC website www.semcdirect.net for more
information AND the scholarship application (there is a student category).

Please note I am not a paid staff person of SEMC nor do I serve on the Board
anymore, I'm just passing along information on the best regional conference
in the country. (My opinion, I have not attended any others, but hey, who
needs evidence or research to come to a decision.)
