Personally, while it seems like a surprisingly overwhelming research
project for one person to undertake, it seems like just the sort of
interesting thing to share on this list. After all, if someone
works/interns/volunteers at any of these notable institutions or has
done so in the past, it's just a small matter of them piping up!

Additionally, it wouldn't surprise me to find out a few museums each
unwittingly sharing the distinction of one of these "firsts." Having
lived in towns designated "The Christmas Tree Capitol of the World!"
and "The Blueberry Capitol of the World," I understand the kind of
civic pride these distinctions (however incorrect or misplaced) can
generate.
