Kari, It has been a while but my memory says that the Indianapolis
Children's Museum did/does an archeological type interactive exhibit.
Also, there is an archeological site on the eastern shore that does a
lot of school groups and interactive type things, you might want to look
in that direction.  
http://www.jefpat.org This is a link to one of those sites in Maryland
that does those types of programs and may be a help.

Hello, everyone. Our archaeology museum currently has no interaction and
nothing at all geared toward young people. I would like to add one or
two small, easy interactive exhibits in the short term, and create a
large "kids discovery area" in the next couple of years. I'm in the very
beginning stages of planning and have done internet searches, Museum-L
archive searches, and looked for books on the subject. Surprisingly,
I've come up pretty dry. If you have any ideas for exhibits, any advice,
any resources, any examples, any anything, please let me know. Thanks!
