The National Museum of the American Indian, Smithsonian Institution, presently has multiple positions open in the New York area in support of the move of the collection to the Washington area.  One position is for a manager for the digital imaging effort.  This is a term position at a GS9/11 ($36,295 - $57,090). The person will supervise up to 6 technicians.  The project will generate up to 1 million images over the next four years.  Applications must be recieved in the Office of Human resources no later than  March 28 to be considered. Numerous other temporary positions are available immediatly at a GS 5/7 ($23,954 - $$38,568).  These are Museum Tech positions that will support the packing, registration, digitization, or conservation aspects of the move.
