I used Family Tree Maker for my family tree. It keeps track of aunts,
uncles, cousins, multiple spouses, etc. It also has plenty of room for
notes, commentary, photos, etc. You can save your files in a variety of
formats, including gencom. There are also many options for print versions of
the tree, and reports. From my experience the basic software comes with all
versions of their product. They have many different packages at varying
price points - and the main difference is the additional CDs included. Most
of these are various census records. Since I'd already done the legwork I
didn't have a real need for these CDs, so I opted for the basic package.
(I'm also pretty cheap!) :-) It's a fairly common piece of software, so you
can buy it at Best Buys or Comp USA, etc.

Subject: Geneaology Software

Has anyone used or could recommend geneaology computer software? If you
have used any software program, did it also keep track of aunts, uncles and
cousins? Or was it just software for direct descendents?

Thanks for your help.
